A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) allows GTS to reimburse their employees for qualified medical expenses that aligns with the reimbursement policy. Employees can utilize HRA funds by submitting their Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to Paylocity.
Reimbursement Policy
Employees electing the HRA Eligible copay-based "HMO Plan" or "PPO Plan" will be eligible for the HRA benefit administered through Paylocity. The HRA benefit will cover all eligible deductible expenses after you have met the first $1,000 of your deductible, up until the $3,000 deductible has been met. Therefore, members are responsible for the first $1,000 of their deductible, all copays, and all coinsurance, up until the Out-of-Pocket Maximum has been met.
Example: A member on the PPO Plan has a $4,000 bill from the hospital, below is how it will be covered:
Subject to Deductible: $3,000 (Member responsible for $1,000, submits EOB for $2,000 HRA reimbursement)
Subject to Coinsurance: Remaining $1,000 (Member responsible for 20% or $200)
Total Billed Amount: $4,000 | Member Responsibility: $1,200
When submitting your EOB, check to make sure it lists out how much of your deductible has been used. If it does not, reach out to ResourcePool_ClaimsBusinessDelivery@bcbsil.com.
