Welcome to the YWCA Enterprise Benefits Program
A new, coordinated approach to employee benefits—designed to support you and your family.
This page explains what the new YWCA Enterprise Benefits Program is, why it’s being created, and what it means for you as an employee.
What is the Enterprise Benefits Program?
The Enterprise Benefits Program is a nationwide benefit program for all employees of the YWCA and a shared benefits platform that will provide benefits that are less expensive and offer more choice.
The platform will bring together:
- Centralized benefits information
- Shared standards and resources
- Choice in health plans
Your local YWCA remains your employer.
Why is YWCA creating this program?
YWCA organizations across the country face similar challenges:
- Rising healthcare costs
- Benefits information that’s hard to track down or understand
- Different employee experiences by location
This program is designed to:
- Improve access to benefits information
- Make benefits easier to understand
- Support employees and families more consistently
Does this change who my employer is?
No.
Your local YWCA:
- Remains your employer
- Determines eligibility
- Sponsors your health plan
- Handles payroll and HR policies
The Enterprise Benefits Program provides support and coordination, not employment changes.
Will my benefits change right away?
Not automatically.
- Many employees will see no immediate changes
- Any future changes will be communicated clearly
- You will always have advance notice and enrollment opportunities
What does “enterprise” mean here?
“Enterprise” means:
- Shared coordination
- Common standards
- One place to find benefits information
Will this make healthcare more expensive?
The goal is the opposite.
- Health insurance pricing remains local
- The program is designed to support cost control
- Central coordination helps reduce administrative complexity
What is a VEBA and why is it used?
A VEBA (Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association) is a health-only benefits trust used by many nonprofits and employers.
In this program, the VEBA:
- Helps manage benefit funding
- Supports benefit administration
- Improves consistency and transparency
Is this connected to the YWCA Retirement Fund?
No.
- The YWCA Retirement Fund remains unchanged
- Retirement benefits are not affected
- The Enterprise Benefits Program is health-only
Keeping these programs separate protects both.
What benefits may be offered through this program?
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Prescription drug benefits
- Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
- Wellness and support programs
How do I access my benefits information?
This page is your year-round benefits hub.
You’ll find:
- Plan summaries and comparisons
- Enrollment information
- Carrier links and provider tools
- Important forms and contacts
You can access this page anytime—from any device.
Do I need to do anything now?
For most employees:
- No action is required
- Continue using your current benefits
If action is ever needed, you will receive clear instructions.
Who should I contact with questions?
Start with:
- Your local HR or benefits administrator
- The contact information listed on this page
Support remains local, with additional national resources behind the scenes.
In summary
The Enterprise Benefits Program is about working together— not taking anything away.
It’s designed to improve access, clarity, and support for YWCA employees nationwide.
Your local YWCA stays in control. Your benefits stay local. Your support gets stronger.
