COBRA coverage for the 2025-2026 Plan Year
All Qualified Members have the choice to continue coverage for benefits they were enrolled in at the time of their COBRA qualifying event.
These benefits are active starting March 1, 2025. Your coverage will be effective dependent upon the date of your COBRA qualifying event.
Each year, COBRA QB's will have the chance to participate in annual Open Enrollment to elect into and change coverage options as the plan offerings may change year over year. More info on Open Enrollment for plan year 2025 will be released closer to that time.
What is COBRA?
COBRA is a continuation of plan coverage when it would otherwise end because of a “qualifying event.” After a qualifying event, COBRA continuation coverage is offered to each person who is a “qualified beneficiary.” You, your spouse, and your dependent children could become qualified beneficiaries if coverage under the plan is lost because of the qualifying event. Once you are eligible, you may elect to continue your existing coverages for you and your dependents, and will be responsible for paying the corresponding premium. Once a year, you will be eligible to participate in annual COBRA open enrollment to make changes you your plans and add or drop dependents.
