Benefits Overview

Medical and Prescription Drug – Meritain Health / Aetna:

  • No changes to plan designs

Dental – MetLife:

  • No changes to plan designs or rates

Vision – MetLife:

  • No changes to plan designs or rates

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Benefit – Benefit Resource, Inc. (BRI):

  • BRI will be the new carrier
  • The annual maximums for 2022:
  • Healthcare FSA increase to $2,850
  • Dependent Care FSA will remain the same at $5,000
  • You can roll over all of any unused amount in the Healthcare and/or Dependent Care FSA funds at the end of this plan year (12/31/2021)
  • These programs require an election each year, so if you want to continue your coverage, use your rollover funds, and/or elect for the first time, you need to do so through Employee Navigator

Life and Disability – New York Life Insurance:

  • New York Life Insurance (formerly known as Cigna Life Insurance) is the new carrier
  • New for 2021, employees can now elect Voluntary Life and AD&D insurance for themselves, spouse, and child(ren)
  • Voluntary Short Term Disability
  • No changes to plan designs and rates
  • If you had a change in your monthly earnings, your costs may change
  • Your enrollment in Voluntary Life / AD&D and/or Voluntary LTD may pend for the completion of an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form and will only become active when and if the Evidence of Insurability form is approved

Action Required

You should carefully consider your Open Enrollment decision as this is the only time you are allowed to change your benefit elections without a qualifying life event. Your decisions will remain in effect for the entire plan year (January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022) unless you experience a qualifying life event.

Employees must go to the Employee Navigator to process Open Enrollment changes. Make sure your dependent and beneficiary information is up-to-date. All elections must be completed by Friday, December 10th to ensure your enrollments are processed as soon as possible for the January 1st effective date.
