Tri-Star will once again offer three benefit options from UPMC Health Plan for your medical coverage.
Benefit summaries and Summary Benefits of Coverage for each plan are provided below as well as some additional information about UPMC's prescription drug, Active and Fit and Anywhere Care programs.
Enrollment is done via an online enrollment tool called Ease. See a supervisor for details.
UPMC Health Plan, Express Scripts Inc. and SaveOnSP are pleased to provide the SaveOnSP specialty cost share assistance service for our Health Plan members.
This service targets a specific list of high-cost specialty medications and leverages manufacturer patient assistance program funds to lower the price for members who enroll.
SaveOnSP will help enroll eligible members in the service and will work with UPMC Health Plan’s preferred specialty pharmacies (Chartwell and Accredo) to apply manufacturer assistance to eligible pharmacy claims to reduce or eliminate the member’s cost-share obligation.
Please note that eligible members are starting to be notified of their opportunity to participate in the service.

Gap coverage offered through Globe Life helps our employees to lower their out-of-pocket medical costs.
All employees who enroll in UPMC group medical benefits are enrolled in the Base Globe Life Gap Plan at no additional cost to the employees.
Each employee has the option to buy-up to the buy-up Globe Life Gap Plan at their own cost.

Tri-Star Motors offers each full-time employee $25,000 worth of Life/AD&D insurance coverage.
This coverage is fully paid by Tri-Star Motors and is offered through Guardian Life Insurance Company.
The vision and dental plans are written through UPMC Health Plan.
