Jeff is a senior property and casualty advisor with 11 years of industry experience. He specializes in working with public entities such as counties, cities, townships, villages, transit authorities, and sewer and water authorities. Jeff is passionate about serving local communities by helping their leaders navigate the complexities of their unique risks and helping them protect their local assets. In his role, Jeff advises clients and prospective clients on property and casualty insurance, workers’ compensation, and ancillary coverage solutions and effectively negotiates with insurance carriers to achieve the best results for clients. He also collaborates with other NFP advisors to provide a comprehensive insurance offering, including corporate benefits, retirement, and wealth management advisory services.


Jeff has a keen ability to analyze risks from a statistical and loss-cost perspective and has a deep understanding of coverage terms and conditions with experience in drafting coverage forms and endorsements. He excels in evaluating building replacement cost adequacy as well as high-value vehicles within fire and public works departments. He also has expertise in placing complex property coverage for locations such as sewer/water infrastructure and historical buildings.


Prior to NFP, Jeff was the Vice President of Underwriting for Tokio Marine HCC – Public Risk Group for six years. There, he managed the daily property and casualty operations of the Public Risk Group underwriting department to ensure risk tolerance measures, profitability standards, and legal compliance were always in place. He also served as the key referral underwriter on the largest, most complex public entity risks across the country. Additionally, he helped to educate and service brokers throughout the distribution network and assisted in reinsurance placements and structure on both a treaty and facultative level.Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Western Michigan University. He holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and Property, Casualty, Accident and Health, Life, and Surplus Lines licenses. He is married and has a 2.5-year-old son and a newborn daughter.
