TRC is pleased to offer a selection of benefits designed with your health and financial wellbeing in mind. We review our benefit programs each year to ensure we consider the best combination of benefit coverage, network access and affordability for employees.
TRC remains committed to providing a competitive, cost-effective benefit program. Each year we take great care and detail in the benefit programs offered to employees. Below are highlights of the plans currently offered:
All regular employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the benefit plans offered by TRC. New Hire Benefits are effective the first of the month following date of hire. When you enroll in the benefits program, you may also cover your eligible dependents. Dependents include your legal spouse and children. Dependent Children eligibility is as follows:
Spousal Provision: If your spouse has medical coverage through their employer, they must elect that coverage first to be eligible for The Reynolds Company medical insurance. If your spouse is covered by both their employer plan and the TRC plan, the TRC plan will be secondary.
NEW HIRES! Action Required: You must log into Dayforce and elect or waive benefits within 14 days of hire.
ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
The only opportunity to modify your plan elections for 2023 is if you have a Qualifying Life Event. These are events such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a Qualifying Life Event, you may make changes to your benefits by contacting Human Resources and completing any election changes in DayForce within 30 days of the event. You will need to provide supporting documentation to support the changes based on the Qualifying Life Event. Exception: HSA contributions can be changed at any time for any reason.
If you separate from The Reynolds Company, any active benefits at that time will be terminated as of 11:59 pm of your termination date.

We are excited to announce that there was no change to employee costs for 2023. These costs are paid for through pre-tax payroll deduction for the medical, dental, and vision plans. If you elect optional life insurance, those costs are based on age and coverage amount and will be paid for through post-tax payroll deduction, you can view the costs for the optional life through DayForce.

UHC will continue to be the medical and prescription carrier this year. There are no changes to these plan benefits for 2023.

Both the Core PPO and the HDHP PPO plans do not require you to select a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or obtain a referral to see a specialist. Both plans have In-Network and Out-of-Network benefits.

The Health Savings Account (HSA) allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to a HSA you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money.
Important Reminder: The Eligibility rules for an HSA only apply for putting money in tax-free. If you are no longer eligible to put money in tax-free, you can still continue to use your HSA funds on qualified medical expenses tax free.

TRC provides all eligible employees access to FREE* virtual visits through Teladoc. Teladoc provides members the opportunity to receive medical and mental health care from the comfort of your own home. With Teladoc, eligible employees and dependents have access to licensed doctors by phone or video 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
Common conditions that are typically diagnosable/treatable during a virtual visit are: Cold & Flu, Sore Throat, Ear Infections, UTI's, Rashes, Pink Eye, Diarrhea, and much more!

Dental benefits are provided by United Healthcare. Eligible employees may pick between the DHMO (applicable states) or the DPPO Plan. Both options cover Preventive, Basic and Major services.
The DHMO Plan, provides care from In-Network Dentists only. Orthodontia coverage is available for both Children and Adults. The DPPO Plan offers benefits from both In-Network and Out-of-Network providers. In-Network benefits are illustrated below, Out-of-Network benefits are the same, however, you may experience balance billing. Orthodontia benefits are limited to Children (up to 19th birthday).

TRC's Vision benefits are through United Healthcare. When enrolled, you have the option of seeing an In-Network provider or an Out-of-Network provider. You receive the highest level of reimbursement when an In-Network provider is utilized.
Benefits include coverage for Exams, Lenses (including Contacts) and Frames.

The Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to one or both of the Flexible Spending Accounts you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money.
Contributions
The election you make during enrollment is your election for the entire plan year. You may change it only if you have a qualifying life event and the change request must be consistent with the event.

Grace Period: Both the Health Care and Dependent Care FSA have a 75 day “grace period”. This means that you have until March 15, 2024, to incur your eligible expenses and until June 15, 2024, to submit your claims.

TRC provides you with financial protection options for Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability with New York Life. .
LIFE/AD&D Benefits
A sudden accident or death can leave you or your loved ones in a vulnerable position. TRC offers Employer Paid Basic Life/AD&D coverage to all Eligible Employees. Employees also have the opportunity to enroll in Optional Life/AD&D insurance.
If you choose to enroll in Optional employee coverage, this will be in addition to your employer provided Basic Life coverage.
Newly Hired Employees (and your spouse/children) are eligible for Guarantee Issue coverage - No Medical Questions! These Guarantee Issue amounts also apply to a newly eligible spouse and/or children. Guarantee Issue amounts for new employees (and their families) and for newly eligible spouses and children are as follows: Employee $150,000 | Spouse $50,000 | Child $10,000. If the Supplemental Life is not elected when first eligible, you may be required to submit Evidence of Insurability (EOI) should you choose to elect at a later date.
Annual Re-Enrollment Option: During the annual open enrollment you may be eligible to elect $10,000 for the first time or increase your supplemental life insurance by $10,000 with no medical questions!
WHO IS YOUR BENEFICIARY? Naming a beneficiary is a crucial part of electing life insurance. Also, don't forget to update your primary or secondary beneficiary if you experience a life event, such as a divorce or birth of a child.
DISABILITY (Employer Paid)
An illness or injury can interfere with your ability to work. Even a few weeks away from work can make it difficult to manage household costs. Disability insurance provides financial protection for you by paying a portion of your income, so you have financial support to manage your disability and your household.
