We review our benefit programs each year to ensure we consider the best combination of benefit coverage, network access and affordability for employees.
Simms Chevrolet remains committed to providing a competitive, cost-effective benefit program. Each year we take great care and detail in the benefit programs offered to employees.
All regular employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the benefit plans offered by Simms Chevrolet. When you enroll in the benefits program, you may also cover your eligible dependents. Dependents include your legal spouse and children. Children eligibility is as follows:
Medical & Vision: End of the year in which they turn age 26
Dental: 26th birthday
The benefit choices you make during your enrollment remain in effect for the entire year. You can, however, modify your elections under certain circumstances, called "Qualifying Events" These are events such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a qualifying event, you may make changes to your benefits within 30 days of the event or 60 days if the event is due to birth or adoption of a child.

HAP Medical/Rx
HAP will continue to be the medical and prescription carrier this year. The plans that will be offered effective January 1, 2023 are as follows:
HAP Amwell
Simms provides those employees who are covered by one of the HAP medical plans access to virtual visits with Amwell. Amwell provide members the opportunity to receive medical and mental health care from the comfort of your own home. With Amwell, eligible employees and dependents have access to board certified doctors, psychiatrists and licensed therapists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
Consultation appointments with a doctor are at no charge to you. You can visit the weblink above or download the Amwell App from the App Store, Google Play, or Windows Store.

The Health Savings Account (HSA) allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to a HSA you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money.
To be eligible to contribute towards an HSA tax-free, you must meet the requirements below:
2023 HSA IRS Maximums are as follows:
$3,850 for a single contract
$7,750 for a two person or family
$1,000 "Catch Up" contribution for those age 55+
