Open Enrollment Window: November 1st - 7th


Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to update and learn about the benefits provided through Rimrock Energy. All benefit changes during open enrollment will become effective December 1, 2022.

Please review our 2022-2023 Employee Benefit Guide and attend one of our benefit meetings to learn more about your options.

We are happy to announce there will be no benefit changes for the 2022-2023 plan year and premiums are staying flat! Everyone is required to complete open enrollment through Netchex in order to keep your elections active.

1.Go to netchexonline.net and login with your email address and password.

2.Under “My Benefits” you will click on “Open Enrollment”.

3.Follow instructions and enroll in your benefits on or before November 7th

4.Make sure you confirm and update your information and electronically sign and save when completed.

Benefit changes outside of Open Enrollment require a Qualifying Life Event and/or Loss of Eligibility.

You may not change your benefits throughout the year unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event. Qualifying Events may include marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a qualifying event, you must notify HR within 30 days of the event; you will then be able to log in to Netchex and make changes to your benefits. Please remember you only have 30 days from the event to make changes to your benefit elections.


Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas will continue to administer our medical and prescription drug benefits.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to a Flexible Spending Account, you reduce your taxable income — which saves you money. Rimrock will continue to use TASC as our FSA administrator.

Health Care FSA Highlights

  • Pay for medical, prescription, dental, vision out-of-pocket expenses, as well as some over the counter items - TAX FREE!
  • May contribute up to $2,850 annually - payroll deducted throughout the year.
  • Must re-enroll every year if you want to continue to contribute to your FSA.
  • $550 will rollover to next plan year.
  • Funds over the rollover amount will be forfeited.
  • All elected funds are available on December 1st.
  • Claims can be filed up to 90 days from when the plan ends.
  • All benefit eligible employees can participate, unless you or your spouse are contributing to a Health Savings Account (HSA).

Dependent Care FSA Highlights

  • Pay for dependent care expenses (daycare, before/after school care, summer day camps) - TAX FREE!
  • May contribute up to $5,000 annually ($2,500 if married and file taxes separately) - payroll deducted throughout the year.
  • Unused funds are forfeited.
  • Elected funds are only available as they are payroll deducted. Pay for your childcare then submit a claim for reimbursement through TASC.
  • Claims can be filed up to 90 days from when the plan ends.
  • All benefit eligible employees can participate.


Basic Life and AD&D

Rimrock Energy provides all full-time employees with Basic Life Insurance.

Who's Your Beneficiary? Everyone needs to make sure your beneficiary is up to date when you enroll through Netchex.

Don't forget to update your primary or secondary beneficiary if you experience a life event, such as a divorce or birth of a child.

Life Policy Conversion is available if you want to keep this coverage after you leave employment. You may apply to convert this policy to an individual whole life policy by emailing BenefitContinuation@principal.com within 30 days of leaving employment. Voluntary Life AD&D

In order to elect voluntary/supplemental life for your spouse and/or child(ren), employees must elect coverage for themselves. Netchex will calculate your premium based on age and benefit amount elected.
