Open Enrollment

Benefit Enrollment Window: May 5 - 12

Open enrollment is your annual opportunity to update and learn about the benefits provided through Pinnacle Business Systems. Please review your current coverage and choose the best options for you and your family online through Paycor. All benefit changes during open enrollment will become effective June 1, 2025. 

Changes this year - 

  • MetLife will be our new carrier for Dental Insurance.
  • Minor medical base plan changes and average 10% increase in premium.

Online Enrollment through Paycor

Open Enrollment begins on May 5, 2025, and ends on May 12, 2025.  

Active Open Enrollment 

This means you are required to review and confirm your benefits this open enrollment period.

Benefit changes outside of Open Enrollment require a Qualifying Life Event and/or Loss of Eligibility.

You may not change your benefits throughout the year unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event. Qualifying Events may include marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a qualifying event, you must notify HR within 30 days of the event. Please remember you only have 30 days from the event to make changes to your benefit elections.

Future Offerings

In order to keep our benefit offerings competitive, we will be introducing a Health Savings Account (HSA) eligible medical plan option effective June 2026. In order to allow employees to participate in an HSA we first need to move our Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to a 6/1 plan year renewal.

Health Savings Account (HSA) Overview

  • Ineligible if:
    • you (or your spouse) are enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
    • you are enrolled in Medicare, Indian Heatlh Services or Military (Tricare) Coverage.
    • you can be claimed as a dependent on someone's tax return. 
  • Only available when enrolled in a High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
  • A true bank account in your name.
  • Contributions are pre-tax dollars automatically put in your account through payroll deductions.
  • Funds are used to pay for qualified medical, dental, vision and some over the counter expenses tax free.
  • Unused funds rollover from year to year and accumulate tax free.
  • At age 65 funds can be used unpenalized for non-qualified expenses but you will pay income tax.
  • 2026 annual limits will be $4,400 for employee only or $8,750 for employee plus dependent. Members age 55+ can add $1,000 to those limits. 

More education and chances to ask questions will be provided during our FSA open enrollment 

at the end of the year.

Supplemental Life/AD&D

You have the opportunity to enroll in Supplemental Life and AD&D insurance in addition to the employer provided Basic Life and AD&D coverage. 

Open Enrollment: 

If you are currently enrolled in this benefit, you are eligible to increase by $10,000 without Evidence of Insurability (EOI).  A larger increase or adding this benefit for the first time at Open Enrollment will require EOI approval from Mutual of Omaha.  Group ID Number is G000CJBK

Accident

Accident Insurance now through Mutual of Omaha

Accident insurance provides you with the extra money you need to help cover the incurred expenses you face when you suffer an injury due to an accident. Benefits are paid in addition to other insurance and can be used to help cover gaps in health insurance or other expenses.


Health Maintenance Screening Benefit - Pays a $50 benefit once per calendar year when you or your dependents go to the doctor for covered wellness screening.
