2022 Benefits

  • MEDICALWe are excited to announce that we are staying with United Healthcare for 2022, and there will be NO CHANGE to the plans or benefits. Please review the plans to decide which option is best for you and your family.

  • HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT (HSA): For those enrolled on the High Deductible plan, you will continue to have access to an HSA. For 2022, individuals can contribute up to $3,650 annually and employees covering dependents can contribute up to $7,300 annually. For any employees over the age of 55, you can also contribute an additional $1,000 as a catch-up contribution.

  • FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA): The 2022 maximum for FSA contributions is $2,850. This account allows eligible employees to contribute pre-tax dollars to an account to be used for medical, dental and vision expenses. Your full annual election is immediately available at the beginning of the plan year. If any balances remain at the end of the year, you can roll over up to $550 to use in the following year. Any unused funds exceeding the $550 rollover will be forfeited. If you are enrolled in an HSA, you can still contribute to an FSA, however this would be considered a Limited Purpose FSA. Eligible expenses under a Limited Purpose FSA are dental and vision expenses and out of pocket medical expenses after you reach the federally qualified high deductible health plan annual deductible of $1,400 for an individual or $2,800 for a family.

  • DENTAL & VISION: This year we will be moving our dental coverage to United Healthcare and vision coverage will be moving from Community Eye Care (CEC) to EyeMed.

  • LIFE & DISABILITY: We will continue our Life and Disability coverages with Equitable. There are NO CHANGES to the cost or benefits. Please note, if you are enrolled in Voluntary Life/AD&D coverage and have aged up to the next age band, you may see a change in your cost. If you would like to make any changes to these benefits, please contact NFP to discuss.

  • VOLUNTARY WORKSITE BENEFITS: Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity coverage will continue to be offered through Guardian! Remember, these plans include wellness benefits for your annual check-ups and pay cash benefits directly to YOU. Please contact NFP if you need assistance filing a wellness or standard claim.

  • FSA DEPENDENT CARE ACCOUNT (DCA): Employees can deduct “pre-tax” earnings into a Dependent Care Account (DCA). A Dependent Care Account (DCA) can be used to pay for dependent care services, such as preschool, summer day camp, before or after school programs, and child or elder daycare. You can contribute a maximum of $5,000 annually.
