Welcome to Lenape Valley Foundation's Open Enrollment for the new plan year beginning on January 1, 2026.
Open Enrollment is your opportunity to learn about the 2026 Benefits, review your current coverage and choose the best options for you and your family. Open Enrollment will run from Monday, November 17 through Wednesday, December 3.
Please review the Employee Benefits Guidebook to learn more about the benefit offerings.
Below is a summary of the benefits offered. Please refer to the 2026 Employee Benefits Guidebook in the Resources section for more information.
MEDICAL PROGRAM
We will continue to offer three plans through United Healthcare – two UHC plans and one Surest plan. Due to a significant increase in premium for 2026, there were some changes made to the two UHC plans as well as an increase in payroll contributions. The Surest plan also had some changes, but payroll contributions for this plan will decrease.
DENTAL PROGRAM
There are no changes to the UHC dental plan design or payroll contributions.
VISION PROGRAM
There are no changes to the UHC vision plan design or payroll contributions.
SUPPLEMENTAL BENEFITS
Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity Insurance. There are no changes to the UHC supplemental benefit plan designs or payroll contributions.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
Please keep in mind, FSA Accounts have a “use it or lose it” rule, minus the rollover for the Health Care FSA. Therefore, you must predict your 2026 spending when electing this benefit. You cannot change it during the year once elected. Careful planning is required!
Health Care FSA
Dependent Care
LIFE AND DISABILITY
The Life and Disability plans will move to New York Life. There is a one-time Open Enrollment opportunity:
403(b) RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN

For calendar year 2026, the IRS allows participants to contribute a maximum $24,500 of your before-tax or ROTH earnings to the Plan, (if you are over 50 or will be 50 by December 31, 2026, the IRS will allow an additional $8,000 catch up contribution). Beginning in 2026, those between 60 and 63 will be eligible to contribute up to $11,500 as a catch-up contribution.
PET INSURANCE
Pet Insurance through Nationwide is available to all staff at discounted rates! You will have a choice of a 70% or 50% benefit – pick the coverage that is right for you! You can insure most household pets, and the rates for cats and dogs and most other household pets. Use any vet – no networks for pre-approval. Enroll directly through Nationwide at http://www.petinsurance.com/lenapevf and the benefit will be payroll deducted!
STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM
Thrive Advisors can help staff tackle student debt. The student loan assistance program includes:
WAIVING MEDICAL
A waiver credit is available for those who do not enroll in Lenape Valley Foundation’s medical program. The credit is $100 per month, prorated for benefits eligible employees working between 30 and 37.5 hours per week.
In order to receive this benefit there are two steps: 1) waive the medical plan and 2) enroll in the Opt Out Medical Reimbursement plan.
TOBACCO SURCHARGE
Employees who participate in the LVF medical program AND continue to use tobacco products will pay an additional $40 per month. All employees participating in the LVF medical program in 2026 will be required to complete an affidavit regarding status of using (or not using) tobacco products.
SPOUSES - MEDICAL
Spouses will be eligible to enroll in the medical plan if they do not have access to their own employer sponsored plan. If you enroll a spouse, you will need to complete a Spousal Participation Affidavit attesting that they do not have access to employer sponsored coverage. Please click arrow below to download Affidavit.
For staff enrolled in Lenape’s medical plans as of January 1, 2026, biometric screenings will be made available. Instant results on a confidential basis will help you identify and understand potential health risks.
Please note: Only staff enrolled in medical benefits need to complete the Biometric Screening to avoid the surcharge. New Hires becoming eligible after that date do not need to participate.
The form for having the biometric screening at your provider's office will be available mid December. Please use that form and fax it directly to Doylestown Hospital.
If you are participating in the UHC Rewards Program, please review requirements and details by downloading the How to use UHC Rewards for Biometric Screening.
By completing a biometric screening (or by satisfying an approved alternative) you will avoid a $500 annual surcharge, divided and added to your medical premium contribution.
