Before you begin, here are a few key things to understand to help you through the enrollment process. Once you elect your Kiernan Trebach LLP benefits, your elections remain in effect for the plan year (January 1 to December 31). You may only change coverage due to a qualified life event and must do so within 30 days of the event. Kiernan Trebach LLP advises you to review all your benefits and make your selections wisely. Any elections you make during open enrollment will be in effect January 1 through December 31.
Kiernan Trebach LLP offers two medical plan options through UnitedHealthcare. Both plans utilize the exact same national provider network – Choice Plus. The Choice Plus is a national network offering coverage in all states. The plans offer in- and out-of-network benefits, providing you the freedom to choose any provider. However, you will pay less out of your pocket when you choose a network provider. Locate a UHC network provider at www.myuhc.com.Employees enrolled in the HRA plan with a high deductible will have a portion of their deductible funded by Kiernan Trebach LLP through a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
Once a year Kiernan Trebach, LLP conducts an open enrollment period during which you may change your benefit elections and the dependents you have enrolled, without a qualified life event. To enroll for the first time or change your enrollment, you will need to register on KTBSonline. The portal will be open from 11/16/2020 – 11/23/2020. If you are waiving coverage, you must sign the waiver. If you will not be making any changes from your current benefits, no further action is needed. You will automatically be mapped over to the same benefits for 2021. *Except for Flexible Spending*
