If you elect to enroll in a United Healthcare qualified high deductible health plan (HDHP) offered through NextGen, you are eligible to open a Health Savings Account (HSA). This is a bank account with tax advantages you own with no "use it or lose it" rule. It's your money to keep even if you change plans, change employers or retire. Click here to learn more about Health Savings Accounts.
If you currently own a HSA, you may continue to contribute to this account as long as you enroll in a HDHP, effective January 01, 2021.
If you do not currently own an HSA, you may open an account with the financial institution of your choice. Provided below is a link that will direct you to Optum Bank HSA online enrollment site.
