ENROLLMENT

How To Enroll In Benefits

Action Required:


All elections must be submitted by November 13, 2023. The benefits you elect during open enrollment will be effective from January 1 to December 31, 2024.


The Benefit choices you make during your initial enrollment or annual open enrollment remain in effect for the entire year.


You can, however, modify your elections under certain circumstances, called "Qualifying Events" These are events such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a qualifying event, you may make changes to your benefits within 30 days of the event or 60 days if the event is due to birth or adoption of a child.

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Overview

Cleveland Metroparks offers medical and pharmacy benefits through the Cigna Open Access Plus plan. With this plan you have a broad range of in-network providers, including access to all 3 major hospital systems. Cleveland Metroparks offers the below 3 medical plans through the Cigna Network.


  • Plan A: Higher level of coverage, but higher monthly premium contribution
  • Plan B: lower level of coverage, but lower monthly premium contribution
  • Plan C: High Deductible Health Plan with ability to set up a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account to pay for medical expenses

DENTAL

Dental Insurance Overview

Dental Insurance Overview

Cleveland Metroparks offers an optional dental insurance program for employees. You have 2 plan options under the Cigna Dental Network.


  • PPO Plan: provides coverage for a large network of dentists.
  • DMO (Dental Maintenance Organization) Plan: provides more coverage, but with a more limited network of dentists.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Eye exams can help detect serious eye and general health conditions sooner: high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol.
  • Babies should receive their first professional eye exam at 6 months.
  • 80% of learning in the first 12 years comes through the eyes.


Cleveland Metroparks offers vision coverage through Cigna to help pay for eye exams, prescription glasses and contact lenses. You receive a higher level of benefits when you see a provider in the Cigna Network. Review your coverage details in your Benefit Guide.
