Helping you and your family reach and maintain good health is very important to Marion CUSD #2. We are pleased to offer a selection of benefits designed with your health and financial wellbeing in mind. We review our benefit programs each year to ensure we consider the best combination of benefit coverage, network access and affordability for employees. Marion CUSD #2 remains committed to providing a competitive, cost-effective benefit program. Each year we take great care and detail in the benefit programs offered to employees. Highlights of the 2024 benefit plans include:

Open Enrollment is from August 5, 2024 through August 16, 2024. This is the time of year where you can elect new plans with Marion CUSD #3. You may switch between plans and make changes without being required to have a qualifying life event. Please also keep in mind the following when making your elections for 2024:
All active employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the benefit plans offered by Marion CUSD #2 as of their date of hire. Full Time Custodians have a waiting period of 1st of the month following 60 days.
When you enroll in the benefits program, you may also cover your eligible dependents. Dependents include your legal spouse, party to a civil union, and dependent children.
Children eligibility terminates as follows:
· Medical | Dental | Vision: Last day of the calendar month the child turns Age 26
· Voluntary Life, Accident, Critical Illness, & Hospital Indemnity: As of the child’s 26th birthday
Should you no longer be employed by Marion CUSD #2, your coverage will end as of the end of the month of which your termination occurred.
Action Required: All elections must be submitted by August 16, 2024!!
This is an ACTIVE ENROLLMENT! All employees must access ENavigator and either elect or waive benefits by August 16, 2024; otherwise, all benefits will be terminated effective 8/31/2024.
ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
The Benefit choices you make during your open enrollment remain in effect for the entire year. You can, however, modify your elections under certain circumstances, called "Qualifying Events" These are events such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a qualifying event, you may make changes to your benefits within 30 days of the event or 60 days if the event is due to birth or adoption of a child.

BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois is still your medical and prescription carrier! You have the choice between two plans for the 2024 plan year. The two plan options include a PPO plan and a HDHP PPO plan. View the Providers & Networks area for more information and buttons on how to locate participating providers.
After you enroll in one of the medical plans and after September 1, 2024, please be sure to register through the BCBS member portal where you can access important information pertaining to your medical plans with BCBS including participating providers, cost estimates for services, explanation of benefits/claims, and your accumulation amounts for deductibles and out-of-pocket costs.

Marion CUSD #2's dental plan provide comprehensive coverage to help you and your family maintain good dental health. The dental plan combines dental and eye care benefits in one easy plan called FUSION. This dental plan also includes eyewear savings, hearing savings, and dental rewards. The dental plans do not require you to go to an in network provider, however, your yearly maximum amount of coverage will go farther if you use a contracted provider. Please see the Provider and Networks section for directions on finding a provider.
Dental Rewards Include:
Marion CUSD #2 offers vision coverage through Ameritas, using the EyeMed network, to help pay for eye exams, prescription glasses and contact lenses. EyeMed also provides discounts for Hearing Care and Lasik.
Please be sure to register through the EyeMed member portal where you can access important information pertaining to your vision plan with EyeMed including participating providers, coverage information, and explanation of benefits/claims. If you are not currently covered, you will be able to register in the EyeMed portal as of your effective date of coverage.

Marion CUSD #2 offers a variety of insurance you can choose from on a voluntary, employee paid basis so you can select what is best for your family. All of these coverages are provided to protect your income and out of pocket expenses.

Marion CUSD #2 provides a competitive benefits package for all employees as part of our total compensation package. We realize you make benefit choices based on what’s important to you and the needs of your changing lifestyle. Therefore, along with our core benefits, we offer these additional benefits which help to provide financial support to you. These benefits are paid for through payroll deduction on a post tax basis so that the benefits are tax free.
Accident, Critical Illness, & Hospital coverage is provided through Aflac. Hopefully you are never in the position to use it, but if you were to experience an accident, illness, or hospitalization, it could end up costing you a lot of money. With these plans, you will be paid money for qualifying situations/services to cover our of pocket expenses or you may use the funds for whatever you like.
