Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is your opportunity to evaluate your current benefit elections and make changes for the new plan year. You are given an Open Enrollment opportunity each year for a July 1 renewal.

There will be some changes to our benefits this year. Meetings will be conducted to discuss updates and to assist you with any questions you have or changes you need to make.

Changes This Year

The Kiowa Tribe is committed to offering a comprehensive employee benefits program that helps our employees stay healthy, feel secure and maintain a work-life balance. However, we have learned that the Kiowa Tribe has a law that prevents our benefits from being self-funded, which requires a vote of tribal members to revoke. Until that happens, we are switching back to our previous medical plans. We hope this will be temporary and will be able to reintroduce the NativeBlue plan once the law is changed.

Your Cost Per Paycheck: Our medical and vision premium increased, and our dental premiums decreased. You may also see an increase to your Voluntary Life and Short-term Disability payroll deductions, if you advanced to a new age band or had a change in salary.

Benefits Overview

As a full-time employee of the Kiowa Tribe, you are eligible for the comprehensive benefits available to you and your family.
