Benefits Overview

Below is a summary of what is changing this year.

Medical / Prescription Drug Program

The medical/prescription drug program will move to Independence Blue Cross effective December 1, 2022. We will continue to offer a choice of three medical plans, which are very similar to the existing Aetna plans. The primary difference is that with IBC’s HSA plans you will pay copays instead of coinsurance for services once the deductible is satisfied. IBC’s HSA plans will continue to offer some preventive medications where the deductible will be waived and you only pay the copay.

Dental Program

The dental DHMO and PPO plans will move to Delta Dental effective December 1, 2022. The plans are very similar to the existing Aetna plans. While there is a significant overlap in provider networks, it is recommended you verify your dentist participates with Delta Dental. The Delta Dental PPO plan includes a very robust reimbursement when utilizing non-participating providers.

NEW - Voluntary Supplemental Benefits

Group Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity Insurance are offered through Reliance Standard, regardless of whether you elect Medical coverage through Kreischer Miller.  For more details please download the document below or refer to page 8 of the Guidebook.
