OPEN ENROLLMENT REMINDER!

Open Enrollment is from November 17th through December 24th. This is the time of year where you can elect new plans with Howard & Howard. You may switch between plans and make changes without being required to have a qualifying life event. Please also keep in mind the following when making your elections for 2026:

  • THIS IS AN ACTIVE ENROLLMENT! You must make an active election for all benefits. Current elections will not carry forward.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI (BCBSM) will continue to be your medical and prescription carrier. You have the choice between two plans for the 2026 plan year. The two plan options include a PPO plan, a PPO HSA plan. Both medical plans offered are Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO); this means that both in and out of network coverage is provided, you are not required to select a primary care physician, and you are not required to obtain a referral to see a specialist.

 IMPORTANT! Do not forget to use the PlanSelect Tool when choosing the best medical plan for you and your family!

If you are already enrolled in one of the Howard & Howard BCBSM medical plans today and have not already done so, please be sure to register through the BCBSM member portal where you can access important information pertaining to your medical plans with BCBSM including participating providers, cost estimates for services, explanation of benefits/claims, and accumulation amounts for deductibles and out-of-pocket costs. If you are not currently covered, you will be able to register in the BCBSM portal as of your effective date of coverage. Information on how to register can be found here.

Howard & Howard's dental plan provide comprehensive coverage to help you and your family maintain good dental health. The dental plans include both in and out of network benefits. Although your cost sharing is the same in and out of network, if you do go out of network it is likely that you will experience balance billing.

Dental is now a stand alone benefit. You are now able to enroll in dental without electing medical coverage.

If you are already enrolled in the Howard & Howard BCBSM Dental plan today and have not already done so, please be sure to register through the BCBSM Dental member portal where you can access important information pertaining to your dental plan with BCBSM Dental including participating providers, coverage information, and explanation of benefits/claims. If you are not currently covered, you will be able to register in the BCBSM Dental portal as of your effective date of coverage.

Vision

Howard & Howard offers vision coverage through BCBSM (who partners with VSP) to help pay for eye exams, prescription glasses and contact lenses. BCBSM also provides discounts for Hearing Care and Lasik.

If you are already enrolled in Howard & Howard's BCBSM vision plan today and have not already done so, please be sure to register through the BCBSM member portal where you can access important information pertaining to your vision plan with BCBSM including participating providers, coverage information, and explanation of benefits/claims. Howard & Howard understands the importance to you and your family to have strong financial protection. We provide all employees Basic Life/AD&D and Disability coverage at no cost to you. In addition to these benefits, we offer a variety of insurance you can choose from on a voluntary, employee paid basis so you can select what is best for your family. All of these coverages are provided to protect your income and out of pocket expenses.

Personal Support & Assistance

Howard & Howard realizes that your needs go beyond just the standard insurance. This is why we also provide all employees and their families access to personal service and assistance resources at no cost. Here you will find information on our Employee Assistance Program and Travel Assistance resources, both to give you peace of mind and support when you need it the most!
