Now is the time to consider any enrollments or changes you would like to make to your benefits.

Guardian dental benefits will be changing for the new plan year. There will be 2 options now to choose one.

Option 1: Guardian Value Plan - Same plan as last year. This is a MAC plan, which stands for Maximum Allowable Charge, which means in-network dentists are reimbursed up to an allowable rate, set by Guardian, and the balance is written off. For out-of-network dentists, Guardian will reimburse up to the allowable rate and the employee will be balanced billed for the rest.

Option 2: Network Access Plan - This is a 90th UCR (Usual, Customary, Reasonable) Plan. In-network services are the same as our previous plan, but for out-of-network services, Guardian averages the “usual, customary, reasonable” costs from our local dentists and develops a 90% fee-for-service schedule, then reimburses at the out-of-network percentage and the employee will be balanced billed for the rest.

***Please note: All employees will be enrolled in the Value plan and you will have to let us know if you want to select the NAP plan.***

Guardian dental premiums will be decreased for the July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 benefit period.

Guardian Cancer benefits have remained the same and there are no premium changes for the July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 benefit period.

The VBA vision benefits have remained the same and there are no premium changes for the July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 benefit period.
