Open Enrollment

It's time to update your benefit elections during Einstein Charter Schools' annual open enrollment!

Annual enrollment is your opportunity to learn about the 2024-2025 benefits offered by Einstein Charter Schools, review your current coverage and choose the best options for you and your family. You should carefully consider your Open Enrollment decisions because your elections remain in effect for your entire plan year. After you make your elections, the only time you can make changes to your benefit programs during the plan year is if you experience a Qualifying Life Event.

Qualifying life events include:

Marriage, legal separation or divorce

Birth or adoption of a child

Change in employment

Change in a dependent’s benefit eligibility status (i.e. a dependent child exceeding the maximum age for coverage)

A significant change in the cost of coverage of your spouse’s benefits

Change in place of residence causing a loss of eligibility (i.e. moving outside of the service area)

Change in the cost of dependent care (only for the Dependent Care Spending Account)

Loss of a dependent (death)

Open enrollment for your spouse

If you qualify for a change in your benefits, please notify Einstein Human Resources within 30 days of the change in status. You will need to provide Einstein Human Resources with proof of the change.

Please review our 2024-2025 Benefits Summary to learn more about our 2024-2025 benefits offerings.

How To Enroll

Open Enrollment will run from July 29, 2024, through August 9, 2024. Any changes you make will be effective September 1, 2024

We are pleased to announce that we will be renewing all your insurance plans with all the existing insurance carriers and there will be no plan design changes for the 2024-2025 plan year. As such, open enrollment will be passive, which means all your current benefit elections will continue into the new plan year unless you make a change or waive coverage.

While there will be no plan changes, there will be changes to employee payroll deductions, so we urge you to review all your current plan elections to ensure they still meet your needs.

2024-2025 Benefits

MEDICAL: We will continue to offer four medical plan options through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana.

·      Louisiana Copay Plan – HMO Louisiana HMO/POS Network

·      Ochsner Copay Plan – BlueConnect HMO/POS Network

·      High Deductible Plan – Preferred Care PPO

·      High Deductible Plan – BlueConnect HMO/POS Network

DENTAL: We will continue to offer Dental benefits through TruAssure. TruAssure will pay at the 90th percentile of usual and customary rates for out of network dentists. TruAssure also offers 3 cleanings per year and white composite fillings instead of the silver amalgam fillings at no additional charge!

VISION: Vision coverage continues to be offered through Humana. With Humana you can obtain your eye exam annually, with coverage for eyeglass lenses or contact lenses every 12 months, and an eye glass frame allowance every 24 months.

VOLUNTARY SHORT-TERM DISABILITY: Voluntary short-term disability continues to be offered through Equitable. Short-term disability coverage allows you to protect your income while unable to work due to a covered illness or injury allowing you the time you need to recover.

VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE: Voluntary life insurance continues to be offered through Equitable. Voluntary life insurance can help protect loved ones and provide stability when it's most needed.

VOLUNTARY WORKSITE BENEFITS (ACCIDENT, CRITICAL ILLNESS WITH CANCER & HOSPITAL INDEMNITY): Our Voluntary Worksite Benefits will remain with Aflac this year. While your medical insurance will pay your provider, these benefits are designed to cover some of the out of pocket expenses you may incur even with medical insurance (deductible, copays, coinsurance, etc.). These benefits will pay cash directly upon claim submission, so you get to decide the best way for you to use the funds. Regardless of whether you enroll in Einstein Charter Schools’ medical plan, you are eligible to enroll in any of these plans and can take them with you if you were to ever leave the company. These plans are a great supplement to your medical coverage to help save on premiums without compromising out of pocket exposure. They also contain annual wellness benefits which will help you to stay on top of your annual screenings.

We strongly encourage all employees to log into their Employee Navigator online portal to ensure all of their personal information is accurate and to review all of your benefit options for the new plan year. If you have any questions, please take an opportunity to contact Human Resources or one of the NFP Benefit Advisors. You will find contact information for the NFP Benefit Advisors below in the Contact Us section.
