It's time to update your benefit elections during Einstein Charter Schools' annual open enrollment!


Annual enrollment is your opportunity to learn about the 2021-2022 benefits offered by Einstein Charter Schools, review your current coverage and choose the best options for you and your family. Please review our 2021-2022 Benefits Summary to learn more about our 2021-2022 benefits offerings.


How To Enroll

Open Enrollment is happening today through August 4th, 2021. Any changes you make will be effective September 1st, 2021


Please note, all employees MUST log into your Ease online portal to complete your enrollment.


2021-2022 Benefits

·      MEDICAL: Based on the results from our recent survey, we have decided to move to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana for the 2021-2022 plan year. We are offering four plan options that are similar to our current Humana plan designs. Please make sure to review all medical options and choose the best option for you and your family.

 

·      DENTAL: We will be moving our dental coverage to TruAssure this year! TruAssure was able to offer us enhanced benefits at the same cost. Please make sure to look up your dentist to assure they are in-network. If not, no worries! TruAssure still offers great benefits to out of network dentists. They will pay at the 90th percentile of usual and customary rates for out of network dentists. TruAssure also offers 3 cleanings per year and white composite fillings instead of the silver amalgam fillings at no additional charge!

 

·      VISION: Vision will remain with Humana. There will be NO CHANGES to the cost or benefits!

 

·      LIFE AND DISABILITY: Our Voluntary Life/AD&D and Voluntary Short Term Disability coverages will remain with Equitable. If you currently have Voluntary Life/AD&D and/or Voluntary Short Term Disability coverages, you will keep your benefits. As a new hire, you can enroll in the Voluntary Life/AD&D and Voluntary Short Term Disability coverages with no medical questions asked. However, if you would like to increase your life coverage or have previously waived your life and/or disability coverages and would like to newly enroll, you will need to complete medical questions (Evidence of Insurability: EOI) to request coverage(s). These coverages are not available on the online portal as they require additional information. If you would like to make changes to these coverages, please email our NFP Benefits Consultant, Rebecca Bell at rebecca.bell@nfp.com.

 

·      VOLUNTARY WORKSITE BENEFITS (ACCIDENT, CRITICAL ILLNESS WITH CANCER & HOSPITAL INDEMNITY): Our Voluntary Worksite Benefits will remain with Aflac this year. While your medical insurance will pay your provider, these benefits are designed to cover some of the out of pocket expenses you may incur even with medical insurance (deductible, copays, coinsurance, etc.). These benefits will pay cash benefits directly to you during a claim, so you get to decide the best way for you to use the funds. Regardless of whether you enroll in Einstein Charter Schools’ medical plan, you are eligible to enroll in any or all these plans and can take them with you wherever you go. These plans are a great supplement to your medical coverage to help save on premiums without compromising out of pocket exposure. They also contain annual wellness benefits which will help you to stay on top of your annual screenings.
