We review our benefit programs each year to ensure we consider the best combination of benefit coverage, network access and affordability for employees. McNaughton-McKay remains committed to providing a competitive, cost-effective benefit program. Each year we take great care and detail in the benefit programs offered.

All full-time employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the benefit programs as of the 1st of the month following one full month of employment. When you enroll in the benefits program, you may also cover your eligible dependents. Dependents include your legal spouse and children.

Children are eligible for benefits as follows:
Should your employment end with McNaughton-McKay, your benefits will end as of 11:59 pm on the date of the termination, with the exception of vision which ends as of the end of the month. If yo are rehired within 13 weeks of your termination date, you will not be required to wait the new hire waiting period and benefits will begin as of your first payroll.
NEW HIRES! Action Required: You must elect or waive benefits within
21 days of your Date of Hire.
Whether you are electing coverage or waiving, you must participate in open enrollment through Dayforce.
ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
The only opportunity to modify your plan elections for 2023 is if you have a Qualifying Life Event. These are events such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a Qualifying Life Event, you may make changes to your benefits by contacting Human Resources and completing any election changes in Feldman Automotive Connection within 30 days of the event (60 days if due to adding a new child from birth or adoption). You will need to provide supporting documentation to support the changes based on the Qualifying Life Event, this documentation must be uploaded in Day Force. Exception: HSA contributions can be changed at any time for any reason.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will continue to be the medical and prescription drug carrier this year. You have two Medical options to choose from:
Both plan options are Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) and provide both in and out of network benefits. With both plan options you have the option to see any doctor you wish and receive coverage, note, if you go out of network you will receive lesser benefits and may experience balance billing.
The differences in the options are highlighted below.
*Aggregate means that if enrolled as a two-person or family, the full family deductible must be satisfied prior to coverage being applied for any member of the two-person or family contract (with the exception of preventive care which is covered 100% in-network and not applied to deductible). In addition to the plan coverage differences, the HSA Plan comes with employer funded HSA contributions. Your costs and the HSA contributions you will receive if you elect the HSA Plan are noted below. You will see that electing the HSA Plan is a lower cost option. The Health Savings Account (HSA) allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to a HSA you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money.
To be eligible to contribute towards an HSA tax-free, you must meet the requirements below:
HSA IRS Maximums are as follows (any employer provided HSA funds will apply to the maximum noted below):
$3,850 for a single contract
$7,750 for a two person or family
$1,000 "Catch Up" contribution for those age 55+

Dental insurance is provided through Delta Dental where you can access a wide range of participating dentists.
You will receive the highest-level benefits if you seek service in-network, however, you do have out-of-network benefits as well. If you see an out of network provider, you may be subject to balance billing.
Working Spouse Premium: If your spouse is working and does not participate in the dental coverage offered by his/her employer and enrolls in the Mc-Mc dental plan, there is a working spouse additional premium.

The plan offers Vision coverage through VSP to help pay for eye exams, prescription glasses and contact lenses. You receive a higher level of benefits when you see a provider in network, however, out-of-network coverage is provided but may only be handled as reimbursements in some situations.

McNaughton-McKay offers both Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to one or both of the Flexible Spending Accounts you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money. In order to participate in either FSA, you must enroll during this open enrollment period.

McNaughton-McKay provides you with financial protection benefits with Basic Life insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, Short Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefits with Lincoln Financial Group. You also have the opportunity to purchase Supplemental/Optional Life insurance and a Buy-Up LTD option as well.
LIFE/AD&D
A sudden accident or death can leave you or your loved ones in a vulnerable position. Eligible employees are offered Employer Paid Basic Life/AD&D coverage to all Eligible Employees. Employees also have the opportunity to enroll in Optional Life/AD&D insurance. If you choose to enroll in Optional employee coverage, this will be in addition to your employer provided Basic Life coverage.
Newly Hired Employees (and your spouse/children) are eligible for Guarantee Issue coverage - No Medical Questions! These Guarantee Issue amounts also apply to a newly eligible spouse and/or children due to qualifying events such as marriage or birth. Guarantee Issue amounts for new employees (and their families) and for newly eligible spouses and children are as follows: Employee $180,000 | Spouse $40,000 | Child $10,000. If the Optional Life is not elected when first eligible, you may be required to submit Evidence of Insurability (EOI) should you choose to elect at a later date.
ANNUAL INCREASE OPTION: During the annual open enrollment, you will be eligible to increase your Optional Life/AD&D benefits by ONE INCREMENT without having to provide Evidence of Insurability (EOI) as long as you have not previously been denied coverage or have a withdrawal on file with LFG.
Evidence of Insurability (EOI) is required for late entrants (those who waived coverage when first eligible) or those who wish to increase during open enrollment and do not meet the requirements for the ANNUAL INCREASE OPTION mentioned above.
Who's Your Beneficiary? Naming a beneficiary is a crucial part of electing life insurance. Also, don't forget to update your primary or secondary beneficiary if you experience a life event, such as a divorce or birth of a child.
DISABILITY
An illness or injury can interfere with your ability to work. Even a few weeks away from work can make it difficult to manage household costs. Disability insurance provides financial protection for you by paying a portion of your income, so you have financial support to manage your disability and your household.
