WELCOME
Helping you and your family reach and maintain good health is very important to McNaughton-McKay. We are pleased to offer a selection of benefits designed with your health and financial wellbeing in mind. We review our benefit programs each year to ensure we consider the best combination of benefit coverage, network access and affordability for employees. McNaughton-McKay remains committed to providing a competitive, cost-effective benefit program. Each year we take great care and detail in the benefit programs offered.
Please review the remainder of this page for more information regarding your benefit plan offerings for 2023.
ELIGIBILITY
All full-time employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the benefit programs as of the 1st of the month following one full month of employment. When you enroll in the benefits program, you may also cover your eligible dependents. Dependents include your legal spouse and children.
Spouses
- Medical: If your spouse is eligible for Medical coverage through his/her employer, they must enroll in that coverage. You may also then enroll them in our Medical benefits, but their employer plan will be primary to the McNaughton-McKay plan.
- Dental: If your spouse is eligible for Dental coverage through his/her employer, but they do not enroll in that coverage, there is an additional working spouse premium to enroll them in the McNaughton-McKay Dental coverage.
Children
Children are eligible for benefits as follows:
- Medical: Until the last day of the month in which the child turns 26
- Dental & Vision: Until the last day of the month in which the child turns 26, provided they do not have their own employer coverage
- Voluntary Life: Until the end of the month in which the child turns 23
Should your employment end with McNaughton-McKay, your benefits will end as of 11:59 pm on the date of the termination, with the exception of vision which ends as of the end of the month. If yo are rehired within 13 weeks of your termination date, you will not be required to wait the new hire waiting period and benefits will begin as of your first payroll.
ENROLLMENT
NEW HIRES! Action Required: You must elect or waive benefits within
21 days of your Date of Hire.
Whether you are electing coverage or waiving, you must participate in open enrollment through Dayforce.
ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
- Log into your Dayforce account
- Follow instructions and enroll in your benefits
- Make sure to save your elections and a copy of your confirmation statement
The only opportunity to modify your plan elections for 2023 is if you have a Qualifying Life Event. These are events such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a Qualifying Life Event, you may make changes to your benefits by contacting Human Resources and completing any election changes in Feldman Automotive Connection within 30 days of the event (60 days if due to adding a new child from birth or adoption). You will need to provide supporting documentation to support the changes based on the Qualifying Life Event, this documentation must be uploaded in Day Force. Exception: HSA contributions can be changed at any time for any reason.

We believe in the Vitality program and to engage and promote even more participation, Mc-Mc will be rewarding employees even further with gift cards for completing monthly tasks in Vitality. PLANselect Tool
PLANselect will help you pick the best value health plan option given your expected medical needs. The proprietary algorithm provides a personalized financial analysis and recommendation, considering both premium and expected out-of-pocket costs (co-pays, etc), as well as other important plan features.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will continue to be the medical and prescription drug carrier this year. You have two Medical options to choose from:
- HSA Plan
- PPO Core
Both plan options are Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) and provide both in and out of network benefits. With both plan options you have the option to see any doctor you wish and receive coverage, note, if you go out of network you will receive lesser benefits and may experience balance billing.
The differences in the options are highlighted below.
*Aggregate means that if enrolled as a two-person or family, the full family deductible must be satisfied prior to coverage being applied for any member of the two-person or family contract (with the exception of preventive care which is covered 100% in-network and not applied to deductible). In addition to the plan coverage differences, the HSA Plan comes with employer funded HSA contributions. Your costs and the HSA contributions you will receive if you elect the HSA Plan are noted below. You will see that electing the HSA Plan is a lower cost option. Your 'net' contributions are even actually lower if you consider the Company Provided HSA money -

The Health Savings Account (HSA) allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to a HSA you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money.
To be eligible to contribute towards an HSA tax-free, you must meet the requirements below:
- You must be covered by a Qualified High Deductible Health Plan
- You cannot be covered by another health plan (including if your spouse has a health care Flexible Spending Account)
- You cannot be covered by Medicare or Medicaid
- You cannot be eligible to be claimed as a tax dependent
- You must have not received VA benefits in the past 90 days
HSA IRS Maximums are as follows (any employer provided HSA funds will apply to the maximum noted below):
$3,850 for a single contract
$7,750 for a two person or family
$1,000 "Catch Up" contribution for those age 55+
If you enroll in the HSA Plan, McNaughton-McKay will contribute to your HSA as follows, these amounts apply towards the HSA IRS Maximums noted above:
- Single: $500
- EE+Spouse: $1,000
- EE+Child(ren): $1,000
- Family: $1,500
Mc-Mc provided HSA contributions are made in the following manner: 50% on 1/1/2023 and the remaining 50% over the 2023 payroll periods (prorated for new enrollees)
VIRTUAL VISITS

All employees have access to virtual visits with Teladoc, regardless of whether you are enrolled in one of the Medical benefit options. Teladoc provides members the opportunity to receive medical care from the comfort of their own home. With Teladoc, eligible employees and dependents have access to board certified doctors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

How Much Does it Cost? Free!
Virtual Visits received for medical services are free for employees and their dependents! If prescribed a medication during a virtual visit, applicable Rx cost sharing will apply based on your prescription coverage.

DENTAL

Dental insurance is provided through Delta Dental where you can access a wide range of participating dentists.
You will receive the highest-level benefits if you seek service in-network, however, you do have out-of-network benefits as well. If you see an out of network provider, you may be subject to balance billing.
Working Spouse Premium: If your spouse is working and does not participate in the dental coverage offered by his/her employer and enrolls in the Mc-Mc dental plan, there is a working spouse additional premium.

VISION

The plan offers Vision coverage through VSP to help pay for eye exams, prescription glasses and contact lenses. You receive a higher level of benefits when you see a provider in network, however, out-of-network coverage is provided but may only be handled as reimbursements in some situations.

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA)

McNaughton-McKay offers both Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to one or both of the Flexible Spending Accounts you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money. In order to participate in either FSA, you must enroll during this open enrollment period.
Contributions
The election you make during enrollment is your election for the entire plan year. You may change it only if you have a qualifying life event and the change request must be consistent with the event.
Health Care FSA
- Up to $3,050 annually
- All benefit eligible can participate
- Any unused funds in excess of $610 at the end of the 2023 FSA plan year will be forfeited
- Reimbursements allowed for unreimbursed medical, prescription, dental, and vision expenses
Dependent Care FSA
- Up to $5,000 annually, $2,500 if you are married and file separate tax returns
- Reimbursements allowed for care for certain dependent children and for a spouse, parent or grandparent that is incapable for caring for themselves

McNaughton-McKay provides you with financial protection benefits with Basic Life insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, Short Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefits with Lincoln Financial Group. You also have the opportunity to purchase Supplemental/Optional Life insurance and a Buy-Up LTD option as well.
LIFE/AD&D
A sudden accident or death can leave you or your loved ones in a vulnerable position. Eligible employees are offered Employer Paid Basic Life/AD&D coverage to all Eligible Employees. Employees also have the opportunity to enroll in Optional Life/AD&D insurance. If you choose to enroll in Optional employee coverage, this will be in addition to your employer provided Basic Life coverage.
- Basic Life/AD&D Insurance (Employer Paid): Flat $50,000
- Optional Life/AD&D Insurance (Employee Paid)
- Employee: Options of $10k; $25k; $50k; $100k; $180k; $250k; or $500k
- The employee amount cannot exceed 5 times your Basic Annual Earnings (BAE). BAE is defined as: salaried employees - your annual base salary; hourly employees - your annualized hourly rate. Your BAE does also include paid commissions averaged over the prior 12-month period (or over your actual period of employment if shorter than 12 months).
- Spouse: Option of $20k or $40k
- Child: Flat $10,000
- Life insurance benefits will reduce to 65% of original amount at age 65; 40% of original amount at age 70; and 25% of original amount at age 75.
Newly Hired Employees (and your spouse/children) are eligible for Guarantee Issue coverage - No Medical Questions! These Guarantee Issue amounts also apply to a newly eligible spouse and/or children due to qualifying events such as marriage or birth. Guarantee Issue amounts for new employees (and their families) and for newly eligible spouses and children are as follows: Employee $180,000 | Spouse $40,000 | Child $10,000. If the Optional Life is not elected when first eligible, you may be required to submit Evidence of Insurability (EOI) should you choose to elect at a later date.
ANNUAL INCREASE OPTION: During the annual open enrollment, you will be eligible to increase your Optional Life/AD&D benefits by ONE INCREMENT without having to provide Evidence of Insurability (EOI) as long as you have not previously been denied coverage or have a withdrawal on file with LFG.
Evidence of Insurability (EOI) is required for late entrants (those who waived coverage when first eligible) or those who wish to increase during open enrollment and do not meet the requirements for the ANNUAL INCREASE OPTION mentioned above.
Who's Your Beneficiary? Naming a beneficiary is a crucial part of electing life insurance. Also, don't forget to update your primary or secondary beneficiary if you experience a life event, such as a divorce or birth of a child.
DISABILITY
An illness or injury can interfere with your ability to work. Even a few weeks away from work can make it difficult to manage household costs. Disability insurance provides financial protection for you by paying a portion of your income, so you have financial support to manage your disability and your household.
-Short Term Disability (Employer Paid)
- Benefits begin on the 8th day of an eligible accident or illness
- Benefit payment can last up to 90 days
- Disability benefit - Non-Exempt: 80% of hourly rate / Exempt: 100% of salary for the first 14 days then, 80% of salary thereafter
- Note: eligibility for STD insurance is based on a 90-day new hire waiting period
-Long Term Disability
- Benefits begin 90-days after an eligible illness or accident
- Benefit payment can last up to your Social Security Normal Retirement Age - if you are still working, benefits will still be payable in the event of a qualifying claim. Benefit period will be dependent on age at time of claim.
- Disability benefit is -
- Employer Paid: 60% up to $10,000 per month
- Employee Buy-Up Option: 66.67% up to $12,500 per month
- Newly Hired Employees are eligible for Guarantee Issue coverage - No Medical Questions! If you choose not to elect the Buy-Up option when first eligible, you will be subject to Evidence of Insurability if you choose to elect the Buy-Up option in the future.
