We review our benefit programs each year to ensure we consider the best combination of benefit coverage, network access and affordability for employees. All regular employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible to participate in the benefit plans effective your date of hire. When you enroll in the benefits program, you may also cover your eligible dependents. Dependents include your legal spouse and children. Children eligibility is as follows -
NEW HIRES! Action Required: You must log into ADP and elect or waive benefits within 14 days of your hire date.
ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
The only opportunity to modify your plan elections for 2023 is if you have a Qualifying Life Event. These are events such as marriage, divorce, birth or adoption of a child, loss of eligibility under another plan. If you experience a Qualifying Life Event, you may make changes to your benefits by contacting Human Resources and completing any election changes in ADP within 30 days of the event (60 days if due to adding a new child from birth or adoption). You will need to provide supporting documentation to support the changes based on the Qualifying Life Event. Exception: HSA contributions can be changed at any time for any reason.

Blue Care Network (BCN) will continue to be the administrator for you medical and prescription coverage. You may choose between two plans, the POS 1000 Plan or the POS HSA 2000 plan. Both plans offered are Point-of-Service (POS) plans and they function a bit differently depending on whether you reside in Michigan or outside of Michigan.

The Health Savings Account (HSA) allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses. By contributing to a HSA you reduce your taxable income, so you pay less in taxes — which saves you money.

ICL provides those employees and dependents who are covered by one of the BCN medical plans access to virtual visits with BCBSM Online Visits. This service provides members the opportunity to receive medical and mental health care from the comfort of your own home. Eligible employees and dependents have access to board certified doctors, psychiatrists and licensed therapists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Services for Mental Health:
Therapy Visits: Therapists such as psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists and professional counselors use talk therapy. Therapy is available to adults and children aged 10 and older by appointment from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Visits typically last 45 minutes.
Psychiatry Visits: Psychiatrists can make diagnoses and prescribe and manage medications. Psychiatry is available to adults aged 18 and over and visits are by appointment only. Extended hours during evenings and on weekends may be available. The initial visit usually lasts 45 minutes with 15-minute follow-up visits

The dental plan provides comprehensive coverage to help you and your family maintain good dental health. Dental coverage is provided through Delta Dental of MI and provides both in and out of network coverage. In Network providers include Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier dentists. Out of network benefits are offered at the same levels, however, if you see an out of network dentist you may experience balance billing not covered by your dental plan.

ICL offers vision coverage through EyeMed to help pay for eye exams, prescription glasses and contact lenses. The plan includes both in and out of network coverage, however, you receive a higher level of benefits when you see a provider in network.
